Delete your account

Effective October 10, 2026

This page explains how to ask us to delete your OpenBahi login and the data tied to it. It applies to the OpenBahi website and to the OpenBahi Android app (package com.openbahi.app).

How to ask

In the app or on the website, at once: sign in in the OpenBahi app or at app.openbahi.com, open Profile & settings, choose Security, then Delete my account, and type your sign-in email (or your username, if you sign in with one). Your login, your memberships of company accounts, your notification settings and your usage records are deleted immediately and you are signed out, and they are removed from our backups within a further 30 days. If you are the only owner of a company account, that company is switched off and its books are deleted after 30 days unless [email protected] is contacted before then; a company that has another owner stays as it is.

Or email [email protected] with the subject Delete my account. Send it from the email address you use to sign in, so we can be sure the request is yours. If you sign in with Google, use that Google email address.

You can also message us on WhatsApp at +91 97991 36840. For your safety we may still ask you to confirm the request from your login email address.

What we delete

For an emailed request, within 7 days of confirming it, we delete:

• your OpenBahi login (your email address, name, phone number, and sign-in details, including Google sign-in);
• your memberships of company accounts;
• the reminders, settings, and choices saved against your login; and
• the usage records tied to your login.

We confirm by email when it is done. After that you can no longer sign in with that login.

The business’s accounting books

The accounting books uploaded from the firm’s computer (invoices, ledgers, party details, and similar records) belong to the business, not to an individual login. Deleting your login does not delete them at once, because other users of the same company account may still need them. They are deleted when the company’s owner asks us to close the company account, or 30 days after the company’s only owner deletes their login in the app, as described above. The owner should email [email protected] from the owner’s login email address with the subject Close my company account.

Backups and records we must keep

Deleted data is removed from our backups within 30 days. We may keep limited records longer only where the law requires it, or where needed to resolve a dispute or protect the service from abuse.

Other choices

If you only want to stop camera or location use in the Android app, you can turn those permissions off in your phone’s Settings. You can also revoke OpenBahi’s Google access from your Google Account settings. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
